In 2024 I received a grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council's SU-CASA program to lead workshops in storytelling and songwriting with some of the members at at Diana Jones Senior Center. The clients composed and recorded original songs and poetry in preparation for a finale performance. I created a short film to document their creative process. The film project also offered the opportunity to bring in voices of Center members who were not participating in the music program. I wanted to offer the other members an opportunity to share openly about their lives and experiences both before and since coming to Diana Jones.
